4 Thesis Must-Do's

1. You must know your department’s thesis policies.
Assumptions make an --- out of u and me. Know the expected responsibilities of the supervisor and the student. It may save you a lot of frustration.

2. You must address procrastination.
This is usually the biggest problem, so break the project into manageable parts, and focus on finishing one task at a time.

3. You must find at least one sounding board.
You'll find it unbelievably helpful to have someone to bounce ideas off, challenge your assumptions, and read drafts.

4. You must keep it in perspective.
Your thesis is important, but it isn’t the be all and end all of who you are. Ten years from now you will disagree with parts of it.
